Forklift Operator (29 CFR 1910.178)
- Even the most experienced and seasoned operators can benefit from this powered industrial truck training. OSHA’s industry standard for forklift operators (powered industrial trucks) in 29 CFR 1910.178 requires knowledge of the regulation and an actual operator evaluation. We provide the knowledge and hands-on evaluation that qualifies participants to operate your equipment.
- The proper demonstration of safe material handling and the successful completion of the written exam are the certification criteria for this 8-hour course. Employees must operate a forklift similar to equipment used in the workplace. We provide training on all types of powered industrial trucks.
- We offer a Train-the-Trainer class for forklift operators or previous instructors who want to sharpen their skills. We can conduct this course in conjunction with the Forklift Operator class. The potential instructors must instruct a 15-minute presentation on a learned topic and then evaluate two other operators while a Safety, Inc. training professional observes the candidate prior to certifying him or her as an operator.
